Sonarvision cannot be used when the app runs in the background with VPS.

To better understand this limitation, it’s important to know that when an app runs in the background, Apple severely restricts the app’s capabilities and limits it to very specific uses (such as streaming video or music). This ensures that apps cannot “spy” on the user while running in the background. However, Sonarvision uses a system that requires continuous operation to deliver both directional sounds and instructions.

In the case of the VPS, and as things currently stand, Sonarvision will never be able to run in the background or lock the screen, because as soon as the app is in the background, it no longer has access to the camera. This makes location tracking impossible.
